Encouragement Today
Today’s encouragement is a gentle reminder that just because it may be raining outside does not mean there is not a blessing to be found.
Stop and listen. What do you hear?
When we take that simple moment to just stop and listen it is amazing the blessings that can be found in the simplicity of the silence.
This morning I woke up to the sound of rain hitting my window pane and at first I thought yuk, another rainy day until I realized no, this does not have to be a bad thing. Rain can be a good thing.

My first blessing was hearing the birds sing their beautiful songs while I was in the stillness of my quiet home. I would not have heard them in the hustle and bustle of my busy day. That blessing would have been drowned out.
My second blessing that came with the rain was knowing I would not have to harbor any regret in getting some outside chores done today. I am free of that chore thanks to the rain.
My friend, your challenge today is to stop and be still. Listen to the silence and be blessed by what you hear.
