Mom’s Frosting

Are you looking for a frosting that will bring your gingerbread men alive or make your sugar cookies works of arts?

How about those Christmas cupcakes or that gingerbread house, this frosting will bring all of these creative pieces together.

This is a recipe you can make in advance so the hard part is already done, all you have to do is decorate your project.

This is what I did today, I made my frosting this morning for when I make my next batch of gingerbread men and my sugar cookies.

Ingredients

1/2 c shortening

1/2 c butter or margarine

8 c confectioners sugar

2 egg whites

1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Blend all ingredients on a low speed blender. Continue to blend until fluffy. Add only enough milk to make creamy, but stiff enough to create a frosting master piece.
