Are you looking for a fun and easy finger dessert food to serve at a gathering or party?

I made these personally requested cake balls and chocolate covered pretzels for my nieces baby shower.

You can easily makes these as well.

All you need are these few ingredients…

  • Your favorite cake mix
  • 1 tub of frosting (vanilla works best with most cake flavors)
  • 3 packages of flavored and colored melting chocolate

Directions

  • Make and bake your cake according to the directions on the package.
  • When complete, remove from the oven and tear the cake apart into crumbles.
  • Mix in a tub of frosting and blend together until the crumbles corn a huge ball of cake.
  • Form into small balls and place on wax paper.
  • Place in a freezer to coat with chocolate later.

When you are ready to coat in chocolate, melt the chocolate for 30 second intervals, while stirring between melting cycles.

*To make chocolate thinner, add a tsp of coconut oil and mix well.

Lastly, remove the cake balls from the freezer and add one at a time to the chocolate. Tap off extra chocolate and place on wax paper to dry.

If you wish to add pretty topping, be sure to add before the chocolate dries.
